AI Powered Intelligent Forecast Dataview
Bizview 26.1 introduces Intelligent Forecast, an AI-powered forecasting capability that generates data-driven predictions directly within Bizview. Users can create a new Intelligent Forecast Dataview, configure forecast parameters based on historical data, and use the dataview in templates to produce forecasted results on demand. This feature is available under a feature toggle. Please reach out to support if you want to try this feature.
A new dataview type, Intelligent Forecast Dataview, is available under the Add option on the Dataviews page. The dialog includes fields for defining the dataview ID, description, source data view, value field, time unit, start and end periods, forecast coverage algorithm (Automatic, AutoARIMA, AutoTHETA, or AutoETS), and an option to enable lower and upper bound values.
The Forecast service endpoint is configurable under Application Settings, allowing administrators to point to the appropriate environment (development, staging, or production). The system includes retry logic with up to three reconnection attempts when the connection fails.
Once saved, the Intelligent Forecast Dataview generates prediction fields based on the selected measure. If lower and upper bound values are enabled, the corresponding limit fields are included. The dataview can then be referenced in a template with the prediction to return forecasted results on execution. Users can reopen and edit the dataview configuration at any time from the Dataviews page.
Key Benefits
Generates data-driven forecasts directly within Bizview without relying on external tools or manual calculations.
Supports multiple forecasting algorithms, allowing users to select the best fit for their data or let the system choose automatically.
Integrates seamlessly with existing dataviews and templates, enabling forecasted data to be used in standard reporting workflows.
Provides configurable forecast parameters including time periods, measure fields, and forecasting bounds for flexible prediction scenarios.
For more information, see Intelligent Forecast Dataview.
Dashboard Enhancements – Waterfall Chart
Bizview 26.1 adds the Waterfall chart type to the Dashboard module. Waterfall charts visualize how an initial value is incrementally affected by a series of positive and negative values, leading to a result. Each bar floats from the previous value, creating a bridge-like visual that explains the progression from start to end. Common use cases include budget variance analysis, profit and loss breakdowns, and cash flow bridges. This feature is available under a feature toggle.
The Waterfall option is available in the Chart Type dropdown under General Settings when designing a Dashboard Area, listed after the existing chart types (Bar, Stacked Bar, Line, Scatter, and so on).
Users define data bindings for the Waterfall chart using the existing Data Bindings framework. The available bindings include Value (Y-axis change values), Argument (X-axis category labels), and Hidden (available for sorting and filtering without affecting chart rendering). Data binding changes update the chart preview immediately.
When the Waterfall chart type is selected, a dedicated Waterfall Settings section appears as a collapsible section below General Settings. This section includes chart visualization options for connector lines, auto start total, and auto end total, along with color pickers for increase, decrease, total bar. All existing general chart settings such as Show Title, Background Color, Show Border, Rotated orientation, Show Labels, Show Tooltip, axis descriptions, axis precision, and axis range values are also fully supported. All settings are saved with the Dashboard Area and preserved on refresh.
Key Benefits
Enables financial storytelling by visualizing incremental changes from start to end, making variance analysis intuitive and accessible.
Uses the existing Data Bindings framework, providing a familiar and consistent configuration experience across chart types.
Offers dedicated Waterfall-specific settings for connector lines, totals, and color customization, giving users full control over chart appearance.
Supports all existing general chart settings, ensuring a consistent experience with other Dashboard chart types.
For more information, see Waterfall Chart in Dashboards and Chart Types.
OBDF Data Import – Progress Indicator
Bizview 26.1 adds a real-time progress indicator to the OBDF Data Importer, providing visibility into the import process for large datasets. When a user selects a connection, business view, and number of records per page and initiates an import, the system displays the number of rows imported versus the total expected rows, along with a percentage and progress bar (for example, “3,245 of 10,000 rows imported (32%)”).
The information appears below the import text with a loading spinner, and the counter updates continuously as rows are processed. If the import fails, the system displays the last successfully imported row count along with the failure message.
Key Benefits
Provides real-time visibility into the import process, giving users confidence that the system is actively processing data.
Displays imported row count, total expected rows, and completion percentage, helping users estimate remaining time.
Retains the last successfully imported row count on failure, enabling users to identify where the import stopped.
For more information, see Import Data via OBDF.
OBDF Data Import – Configurable Timeout Settings
Bizview 26.1 introduces configurable timeout settings for OBDF data imports, allowing administrators to adjust timeout values based on dataset size and network conditions without manual database or file editing. A new OBDF Data Import Settings page is available under System > Platform Services, positioned between Import Data via OBDF and OBDF Access Token.
The page provides two separate configuration sections — Manual OBDF Data Import Timeout Settings and OBDF Plugin Timeout Settings — each with fields for HTTP Client Timeout and SQL Bulk Copy Timeout.
A Save button persists values to the database, and a Reset Default button restores the factory defaults. Each field includes an info icon with helper text describing its purpose and default value. Input validation prevents non-numeric and out-of-range entries.
Key Benefits
Eliminates the need for manual database or configuration file editing to adjust timeout values.
Provides separate configuration for manual imports and plugin imports, allowing independent optimization for each import method.
Includes input validation and info icons with helper text, reducing configuration errors.
Supports a Reset Default option to quickly restore factory settings when needed.
For more information, see OBDF Data Import Settings.
Custom Logo in Platform Application
Bizview 26.1 enables System Administrators to customize the application header with a company logo, allowing organizations to brand the Bizview Platform application with their corporate identity. This extends the branding functionality previously available in the Legacy application to the Platform application.
The Platform icon is replaced with a purple Bizview logo by default. Users can upload a custom logo from the Images library to the application header, replacing the default Bizview logo. The custom logo is displayed across all pages of the Bizview application and is supported across different browsers.
Key Benefits
Allows organizations to maintain corporate branding within the Bizview Platform application.
Extends the custom logo capability from the Legacy application to the Platform application, providing a consistent branding experience.
Displays the custom logo across all pages, ensuring uniform branding throughout the application.
