Bizview v26.2 Enhancements

This topic describes the significant enhancements in Bizview v26.2.

Caution: Starting with Bizview v24.1, feature enhancements are no longer available to on-premise users.

Activity Monitor

The Activity Monitor is a new administration page that gives BV30 administrators a real-time view of all processes running or queued across different modules of Bizview.

To access the Activity Monitor, navigate to System > Monitoring > Activity Monitor. The page opens on the Active Processes tab by default, listing all currently running and queued processes for Jobs, Dashboard dataview executions, and Template generation.

Each row in the Active Processes grid shows the process ID, type, client, user, start or queue time, processing time in HH:MM:SS format, real-time status, and any status message. Status reflects the current lifecycle state: Running, Queued, CancelRequested, Canceled, Completed, or Failed. The toolbar above the tabs provides Refresh, Filter, Group, Export, and View options.

For Jobs processes, administrators can take action from the grid. A running Jobs process shows an Abort button; a queued Jobs process shows a Remove button. Clicking either opens a confirmation dialog that requires a reason before the action can be confirmed. Once a process reaches a terminal state, it moves automatically to the Process History tab, which provides a full searchable audit trail of all ended processes.

A new Activity Monitor subsection under Settings > Other provides two settings: the Registration Threshold, which controls the minimum execution time before a process is registered in the Activity Monitor (default is 30 seconds; for Jobs, the default is 5 seconds), and the Retention Period, which controls how long process history records are kept before being cleared automatically.

Key Benefits

  • Single real-time view of all active and queued processes across Bizview, eliminating the need to check individual modules separately.

  • Abort or remove Jobs processes directly from the UI with a built-in confirmation step and mandatory reason, giving administrators controlled, audited intervention.

  • Process History tab provides a complete audit trail of all ended processes to support troubleshooting and operational accountability.

  • Configurable Registration Threshold and Retention Period let administrators tune visibility and data retention to match their environment.

Intelligent Forecast Dataview Enhancements

This release introduces two enhancements to the Intelligent Forecast Dataview that improve the configuration experience and give template designers more control over forecast accuracy.

The Dataview editor now opens as a dedicated full-page view. When a user navigates to System > Dataviews and opens a new or existing Intelligent Forecast Dataview, Bizview displays a full-page editor titled Intelligent Forecast Dataview * Design. The toolbar provides Save, Close, Cancel, and Back to Dataviews actions.

A new Seasonal Period field is available in the editor below Forecast Coverage Algorithm. This lets template designers tell the Forecast service whether the data follows a repeating seasonal pattern. For example, if monthly expense data consistently spikes in June and December, selecting Monthly – Annual (12) instructs the service to model that cycle and produce forecasts that reflect the expected seasonal variation. A help tooltip explains each option, including the requirement for at least 24 months of historical data per account.

AI Assistant — Updated Interface

Starting from version 26.2, the AI Assistant runs on Lineos V2, replacing the previous tabbed interface with a single, unified chat window. In earlier versions, the AI Assistant presented three separate tabs — Doc Assist, Data Assist, and Report Assist. In Lineos V2, all three capabilities are available from the same chat interface.

All existing functionality is preserved. A new chat history panel allows users to view previous conversations and continue from where they left off. Users on versions prior to 26.2 continue to see the earlier tabbed V1 interface.

Key Benefits

  • Unified chat interface removes the need to switch between tabs for Doc Assist, Data Assist, and Report Assist.

  • Chat history allows users to continue previous AI Assistant sessions.

  • All existing functionality fully preserved with no changes to prompts or workflows.

  • Backward compatible — users on prior versions are unaffected.

For more information, see Lineos V2.
